Craniosacral Therapy

What is craniosacral therapy?

Craniosacral Therapy (CST), is a gentle and deep body work that helps restore the body's psychosomatic balance, since it allows us to attend to the Central Nervous System (CNS), and observe the different pulsations produced by the body. It has its origins in osteopathic medicine. From the skull to the sacrum, there is a flexo-extension mobility that flows rhythmically through the spinal cord, any blockage that appears in this area can be corrected through very gentle manipulations.

It is a relaxing therapy that helps to find the body's self-healing processes, increasing vitality and well-being.

What is a Craniosacral Therapy session?

Person receiving craniosacral treatment

The patient lies with comfortable clothes on the stretcher, then an assessment of the status of the Skull-Sacral Rhythm in different parts of the body is made, its amplitude, rhythm and asysmetry are assessed. The state of the diaphragms and the blockages that may appear in them are assessed, as well as the movement of the bones of the skull and sacrum, the sutures, the meninges, the internal structures of the skull and the spine through which the brain fluid flows -spinal.

Then we proceed to work on the restrictions that the body indicates in order to unlock the Caraniosacral System (CSS) and return its movement.

Who benefits?

Because it is an innocuous method, Craniosacral Therapy (CST), benefits all types of people, from newborns who have suffered some compression in the birth canal, as well as people with multifactorial conditions. As the Craniosacral System (CSS) directly affects the fascia and tissues, it is especially recommended for people with dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal and myofascial system, as well as dysfunctions of the Nervous, vascular, lymphatic, endocrine and respiratory systems.

It also supports cases with temporomandibular joint syndrome (TMJ), which result in migraines, cervical pain, loss of balance and traumatic processes that the body has been unable to dissipate by itself.

It is also recommended for use in people who do not have any condition, "healthy people".
